Free COVID-19 Testing Available

Free COVID-19 testing will be provided by the Illinois Department of Public Health at the Highland Park Metra Station located at 1700 St. Johns Avenue. Testing will be available on the following dates from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM:
  • March 26
  • April 2
  • April 9
  • April 16

Testing Information:
  • Testing is provided by the Illinois Department of Public Health. Learn more about IDPH testing at dph.illinois.gov/testing.
  • Drive-through and walk-up testing will be available.
  • Simple nasal swabs will be used.
  • You will be called with results within 4-7 days.
  • No cost for testing.
  • Bring your insurance card, but you can still be tested if you don’t have insurance.
  • Anyone can get tested! You don’t have to have symptoms or be sick.
Prepare for your COVID-19 test by creating an IDPH MyChart account. IDPH uses MyChart as part of the test registration process, and accounts may be created in advance. Certain health systems may already use MyChart; you will be able to use your existing MyChart account for IDPH COVID-19 testing. Please remember to note your email address and password before arriving at the testing site.

Post-testing Guidance:
Look out for a call from 888.297.7208 within 4-7 calendar days from the date of your test to provide your results. Results will not be left by voicemail. Individuals may request a written copy of their results.
 
While waiting for test results, please be sure to:
  • Self-isolate at home away from household members until your results are back.
  • Stay home as much as possible.
  • Monitor any symptoms you might develop.
  • Seek medical attention immediately if you develop any emergency warning signs of COVID-19 or other medical emergencies, such as extremely difficult breathing, bluish lips or face, constant pain or pressure in the chest, severe constant dizziness or lightheadedness, confusion and/or slurred speech, difficulty waking up, and new seizures or seizures that won't stop.
