Commercial & Multi-Unit Waste Hauling
The City entered into a franchise agreement with Lakeshore Recycling Systems (LRS) for the provision of refuse, recycling and food scrap compost collection to all commercial and multi-unit dwellings within the City on January 1, 2016.

Commonwealth Edison (ComEd) is one of the electricity providers for the City of Highland Park. They own and maintain the electricity infrastructure and billing distribution system.
The City has an agreement with Comcast which allows all Highland Park residents to have the opportunity to access basic cable services. The agreement also allows for the City to have two community cable access channels, 10 and 19. However, Comcast's operations and customer service standards are regulated through the State of Illinois Attorney General's Office.

For downed or obstructed lines, contract AT&T at 800.288.2020 for drooping wires, downed lines, or AT&T equipment in a yard or on the street.

- If you don’t have AT&T service, say "No account." When asked if you want to order new service, say "No." Then, to let AT&T know why you're calling, say “Line is down.”
