INVITATION FOR BIDS
The City of Highland Park will receive Electronic bids for the:
HIGHLAND PARK MUNICIPAL FUEL STATION
until 11:00 a.m., November 9, 2021

The work consists of the construction of a new municipal fueling system for City of Highland Park use and reconfiguration of the existing site to allow turning radius increases to access the fuel island. 

The new fueling system shall consist of, but not limited to furnishing and installing two underground storage tanks (UST), one dispensing island with three dispensers, a large canopy, a fuel management system, and a product inventory system.  The reconfiguration of the existing site shall consist of, but not limited to pavement removal, earth excavation, sidewalk removal, storm sewers removal and construction of HMA and concrete pavement, brick paver pavement, storm sewers, lighting, and sidewalks.

PRE-BID MEETING: A pre-bid meeting will be held on October 12th, 2021 at 10:00 AM at the project site. The meeting shall be optional for all interested contractors in bidding this project. Interested contractors will have the opportunity to ask questions regarding the plans and specifications however, all questions must be submitted in writing and answers will be provided after the meeting

Bids will ONLY be received and accepted via the online electronic bid service through QuestCDN.com. Bidders must be on the plan holders list through QuestCDN for bids to be accepted. To access the electronic bid form, download the project documents and click the online bidding button. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids. NO paper bids will be accepted.

Bid security is required as stated in the “Bid Security” section found on page 2 in the Instructions portion of the Bid Package.  Qualifications of the contractor and personnel shall be in accordance with the special provision entitled “Fuel Storage and Dispensing System Specifications”.

The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish certificates and policies of insurance as required by the Contract.  All Contracts for the Construction of Public Works are subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12).  Contractors must provide Certified Monthly Payroll Reports.
