The City of Highland Park will receive sealed bids for the:
2019 LINCOLN PLACE ROADWAY AND WATER MAIN, STORM SEWER AND SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENTS
until 11:00 a.m., March 28, 2019

This work consists of the construction of 1,050’ of 15” storm sewer along the northbound lane of the roadway, the construction of 1,045’ of 8” water main along the southbound lane of the roadway, along with the installation of 8 manholes, 400’ of 1-1/2” copper water service line replacement, 305’ of 6” storm sewer laterals, and 3 new fire hydrants. 2,170 feet of combination curb and gutter will be installed with type M-4.12 combination concrete curb and gutter. 2,322 square yards of existing asphalt pavement will be removed and replaced with 500 tons of leveling binder, N50, and 325 tons of warm-mix asphalt surface course (Mix “D”). The existing driveway aprons will be removed and replaced in kind. All asphalt work for this project will use warm-mix asphalt. Small quantities of sanitary service components have been included for unforeseen repair work that may be necessary during the project. Areas disturbed by construction operations will be restored with 1,760 square yards of topsoil and sod. This project is located along Lincoln Place from Lincoln Avenue to Glencoe Avenue.
Bids will ONLY be received and accepted via the online electronic bid service through QuestCDN.com. Bidders must be on the plan holders list through QuestCDN for bids to be accepted. To access the electronic bid form, download the project documents and click the online bidding button. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids. NO paper bids will be accepted.
Bid security is required as stated in the “Bid Security”section found on page 2 in the Instructions portion of the Bid Package. Each prospective Bidder shall furnish a copy of a Certificate of Eligibility as issued by the Illinois Department of Transportation. (See State of Illinois Website: http://www.idot.illinois.gov/)
The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish certificates and policies of insurance as required by the Contract. All Contracts for the Construction of Public Works are subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). Contractors must provide Certified Monthly Payroll Reports.
