Lawn Care Assistance Program

Volunteer Lawn Care Assistance Program for
Low-Income Elderly and Disabled Residents

The City of Highland Park is offering a new Volunteer Lawn Care Assistance Program designed to serve low income elderly and disabled residents of Highland Park. Volunteers will assist qualified individuals with cutting the grass on their property as needed. The homeowner will be responsible for obtaining yard waste stickers for landscape waste disposal and for providing a fueled lawnmower or reimbursing lawnmower gasoline costs.

Income qualified individuals who are interested in receiving assistance from the Volunteer Lawn Care Assistance Program must register in advance. Prospective volunteers must complete a volunteer application form.

Volunteers and recipients will be required to complete City of Highland Park liability waivers. For further information, to register and request service, or to volunteer, please contact City of Highland Park Social Services Specialist at 847.432.4110 or rtrabaris@cityhpil.com.
