SHARPS PROGRAM MOVED TO FIRE STATION #33
Located at: 1130 Central Avenue, Highland Park, IL 60035
The City of Highland Park now provides residents with assistance with the proper disposal of their sharps: hypodermic needles, syringes, lancets and other sharp medical instruments. This program ensures materials are properly disposed of and prevents needles from entering solid waste streams.
To dispose of sharps, visit the Headquarters Fire Station #33 at 1130 Central Avenue during regular office hours, Tuesday – Friday, 7 AM – 4 PM.
Upon arrival, residents will be provided with a special snap-lid container to take home and then return once items have been placed inside. A photo ID showing Highland Park residency is required for both pickup and drop-off. Questions? Please contact Fire Station Admin Staff at 847.433.3110.
