Seasonal Planter Sponsorships

Sponsor-A-Planter Program

Through its Sponsor a Planter Program, the City of Highland Park offers community members an opportunity to beautify the City's Central Business District and the Ravinia District by sponsoring one or more available planters during the spring and fall seasons.
Sponsors may choose to be recognized on a 5”x7” placard featured in the planter, or they may choose to recognize or memorialize an individual or family. Sponsors will also be recognized on the City's website.
To participate, sponsors pay an annual fee to the City for the flower planting and maintenance as well as the addition of the 3"x5" plaque for one season (May—Nov).

CBD Medium PlanterAnnual cost of a planter sponsorship, including the placard:
  • Large Planter $750
  • Medium Planter $350
  • Flower Pot $200

Adopt-A-Planter Program for Business & Property Owners

The City of Highland Park has developed an Adopt-A-Planter Program for business and property owners, in Central Business District, to beautify the City’s planters in a continuing effort to enhance the downtown.  The City is looking for business and property owners to “adopt” a municipal planter as part of this program during summer and fall seasons each year.

For each adopted planter, participants are encouraged to display a small placard with the Adopter’s name and business as well as the landscaper. If you would like to become an Adopter for the first time, please contact the Public Works Department Forestry Section at 847.432.0807 to discuss the program.
