2019 Business Summit

September 10, 2019 -- The City of Highland Park will host its 7th Annual Business Summit on Thursday, October 3, 2019. Each year, the Office of Business Development and the Business and Economic Development Advisory Group (BEDAG) bring local and regional business leaders, entrepreneurs and government officials together to facilitate economic growth and vibrancy within the City. BEDAG selects topics for discussion based on feedback from area professionals that recognize the ever-changing landscape of service and retail business. This year’s keynote speaker, Jodi Coplan, will discuss “the Future of Work.”  Ms. Coplan is a human resources leader, career coach, and adjunct professor with Career Track Coaching.

The Summit features an update on city initiatives, and expert voices on topics to inspire and educate business leaders with new tools, strategies, and best practices to bring back to their companies, such as building a brand, creating a strong workforce, marketing, optimizing social media outreach, and business growth strategies. With an emphasis on dynamic networking opportunities, each event combines essential business tips with opportunities for attendees to share their own story with fellow business owners and across industries, along with breakout in-depth roundtable discussions on diverse topics with City Officials.

“It is our goal to create an environment where businesses can thrive, create jobs, and boost the economy. We are delighted to welcome business professionals and area officials to the Business Summit to share proven strategies, discover new approaches, and collaborate to increase business opportunity in Highland Park,” said Mayor Nancy Rotering.

The 2019 City of Highland Park Business Summit is sponsored by Ravinia Festival, First Bank of Highland Park, Highland Park Bank & Trust, Mesirow Financial, North Shore University Health Care Systems, Stationery Station, Baum Realty Group, and the Canel Companies.

The event is open to the public and geared towards current and prospective Highland Park professionals. Advance registration is required. For information about the Business Summit and registration, please visit www.cityhpil.com/BusinessSummit.
