February 19, 2018 -- The US National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for Lake County which will go into effect Monday evening through late Tuesday night. Forecasts call for several rounds of showers and thunderstorms between early Monday morning and Wednesday, with area-wide precipitation totals of over an inch and localized amounts of 2 to 4 inches possible. Grounds remain frozen which will result in rapid runoff. Snowmelt will compound runoff from rainfall. The conditions may result in the rise of rivers and streams which may cause flooding.
