INVITATION FOR BIDS
The City of Highland Park will receive sealed bids at the Public Works Department, 1150 Half Day Rd, Highland Park, IL 60035 for the
Purchase and replacement of one horizontal split case pump rotating assembly
at the City’s Water Plant
until 11:00 a.m., May 17, 2018
and at that time will be publicly opened, read aloud, and placed on file for public inspection. Late bids will not be considered under any circumstances. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids. The Bid Package may be obtained from the Public Works Department at 1150 Half Day Road, Highland Park, Illinois or via email (acardiff@cityhpil.com).
The work consists of: Replace complete rotating assembly including, impeller & bearings. Replace case wear-rings & impeller rings. Disinfect of all wetted parts & re-install rotating assembly. Couple to motor & realign (Existing Falk coupling to be re-used). Contractor to furnish gasket. Owner to furnish seals/seal parts as needed.
The pump has been disassembled and can be examined at the Water Plant at Lake Michigan, 10 Park Avenue, Highland Park, IL 60035.

Each proposal shall be submitted with an original ink signature on the form furnished by the City and must be accompanied by a bid bond, bank cashier's or certified check in an amount not less than the percent of the Total Bid Amount as stated in the “Contract Bid Security Limits”in the Bid Docs.
The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish certificates and policies of insurance as required by the Contract. All Contracts for the Construction of Public Works are subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). Contractors must provide Certified Monthly Payroll Reports.
