The work consists of the construction of 700’ of 12” storm sewer along the eastbound lane of the roadway, the construction of 800’ of 8” water main along the westbound lane of the roadway, along with the installation of 7 manholes, 400’ of 1-1/2” copper water service line replacement, 100’ of 6” storm sewer laterals, and 3 new fire hydrants.  1,780 feet combination curb and gutter removal followed by installation of type M-4.12 combination concrete curb and gutter.  1,600 square yards of existing asphalt pavement will be removed and replaced with 380 tons of binder, N50, and 190 tons of warm-mix asphalt surface course (Mix “D”).  The existing driveway aprons will be removed and replaced in kind.  All asphalt work for this project will use warm-mix asphalt.   Areas disturbed by construction operations will be restored with 585 square yards of topsoil and sod.  This project is located along Ivy Lane from Sheridan Road to the east end of Ivy Lane.

Bids will ONLY be received and accepted via the online electronic bid service through QuestCDN.com. Bidders must be on the plan holders list through QuestCDN for bids to be accepted. To access the electronic bid form, download the project documents and click the online bidding button. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids. NO paper bids will be accepted.

Bid security is required as stated in the “Bid Security”section found on page 2 in the Instructions portion of the Bid Package.  Each prospective Bidder shall furnish a copy of a Certificate of Eligibility as issued by the Illinois Department of Transportation. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish certificates and policies of insurance as required by the Contract.  All Contracts for the Construction of Public Works are subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12).  Contractors must provide Certified Monthly Payroll Reports.
