Accepting Grant Applications for Arts and Human Services

The City of Highland Park Cultural Arts Commission (CAC) and the City of Highland Park Human Relations Commission (HRC) invite not-for-profit arts and/or human services organizations to apply for the Purchase of Service Grant (POS), which can be used to help fund arts activities or human services activities in Highland Park. The deadline for the application is August 15, 2017. Arts applicants will be reviewed by the CAC and human services applicants will be reviewed by the HRC with final approval by the City Council.

The City of Highland Park has allocated $55,000 in funding: $30,000 for human services programs and $25,000 for arts programming. This year, a common grant application allows applicants to apply for grants from multiple donor organizations including the City of Highland Park Cultural Arts Commission (CAC), City of Highland Park Human Relations Commission (HRC), Highland Park Community Foundation and YEA! Highland Park. This change was made to simplify the applications process and encourage new applicants. Organizations do not have to be Highland Park based, but all arts or human services activity must benefit Highland Park residents, businesses, and/or visitors.
