On Friday, February 10, 2017 at 4:05 PM, police were notified of a shooting that had just taken place in the 1800 block of Deerfield Rd. After speaking with the victim, officers responded to the scene and located witnesses. A local lookout was broadcast to area officers and the vehicle, which was occupied by two people, was quickly located and stopped by officers from the Deerfield Police Department. The offender was taken into custody without incident and two firearms were recovered. Investigators determined that the victim of the shooting was known by the offender and that the incident was not a random act.
The offender was identified as Andres Carillo-Escuvedo, 30 years old, of the 2500 block of Green Bay Rd. Highland Park, Il.
The incident was reviewed by the Lake County States Attorney’s Office and the following charges were approved. Additional charges are being reviewed by the Chief of Felony Review.

On Saturday, February 11, 2017 Andres Carillo was taken to bond court. He was remanded and bond was set at $1,000,000.
